Leicester City Council has a network of five Air Quality Monitoring Stations (AQMS) which collect air quality data on an hourly basis. As a local authority we are statutorily required to report this data to DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) as part of our Annual Status Reports each year, as the data is used to determine the Council's compliance with DEFRA's Air Quality Objectives.
